BT Financial Group senior executive, Deanne Stewart, has been appointed as the Australian chief executive of major insurer, Metlife.
Metlife announced the appointment today. Stewart will take up her appointment in mid-July.
The Metlife announcement said that as well as being Australian chief executive, Stewart would be joining the company's Asia Leadership team and directly reporting to Dr. Nirmala Menon, Senior Vice President & Head of Designated Markets and Health, Asia.
Stewart has been general manager, Super Market and Direct at BT Financial Group and joined that company in 2007 after previously being head of International Private Client Businesses at Merrill Lynch Investment Management.
The insurance company has joined this year’s awards as a principal partner.
