Aberdeen Asset Management has made an institutionally-focused appointment.
The fund manager announced this week it had appointed Luke Mandekic to its distribution team in Melbourne as Regional Sales Manager with responsibility for representing Aberdeen's range of equities, fixed income and multi-asset funds to the wholesale market.
Mandekic has joined Aberdeen from AMP's Advice Research team, where he was a model portfolio manager after previously having held investment analyst and research roles at AXA.
Confirming the appointment this week, Aberdeen Asset Management Head of Distribution, Stuart James said Mandekic was an experienced industry professional.
"Thanks to his previous roles, he joins Aberdeen with a good working knowledge of our fund range, which is a distinct advantage. His background in investment research and portfolio construction will allow him to add real value to our client base," James said.
