AMP Capital has looked internally to fill the role of co-head of New Zealand fixed income.

The company announced today it had appointed Vicky Hyde-Smith to the role who will be operating alongside fellow co-head, Grant Hassell, who is also AMP Capital New Zealand managing director.

AMP Capital said Hyde-Smith, who was previously senior portfolio manager for fixed income, would be responsible for delivering strong investment performance for fixed income investors.

Prior to joining AMP Capital, Ms Hyde-Smith gained global investment experience in the Japanese fixed income market when she joined the proprietary trading team at Sumitomo Finance in London in 1996.
