Colonial First State Asset Management has added trained metallurgist Peter Mangano to its global resources team as a senior analyst.
Mangano has worked in the zinc industry for over a decade in various roles including researcher, development metallurgist and business analyst. His most recent role was with IPD Analytics in Miami as chief operating officer.
Mangano's experience in the financial services industry extends to stints as a resource equities analyst with Citigroup, Salomon Smith Barney and HSBC. He was also deputy director of US equity research and director of global operations with Citigroup in New York.
He will join a team littered with experts in mining, petroleum engineering, physics and chemistry, according to Dr Joanne Warner, Colonial's head of global resources.
He is also a certified practicing accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Tasmania.
