Henderson Global Investors has appointed Rob Adams to lead its investment management business in Australia.
Adams is the former chief executive of Challenger Funds Management, and his appointment is being flagged by Henderson as a precursor to further hires within the Australian team.
The company said Adams would be responsible for developing and directing the business strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Henderson Global Investors chief executive Andrew Formica said it had been a long-term part of the company's strategy to build out its presence in the Australian market.
