Mercer has appointed Rebecca Jacques as senior investment consultant in its institutional wealth Pacific team.
Prior to joining the firm, Jacques founded an investment research firm in the robo-advice sector, worked in the Australian Goals Based Advice Association and led the research and platform relationship function at Deutsche Asset Management.
Partner in institutional wealth at Mercer, Richard Boyfield, said Jacques’ appointment would strengthen the firm’s investment consulting capabilities and provide strategic leadership to key clients.
“The breadth and depth of her experience is a great addition to the team and will increase our ability to provide market-leading ideas and innovation,” he said.
Boyfield said the firm was in the market for investment consulting professionals, and expects further appointments to follow.
The fund’s inaugural chief retirement officer is looking to establish a new venture.
The financial services company has made two senior appointments to its super and investments leadership team.
The $89 billion fund has named co-chief investment officers following the resignation of Andrew Lill earlier this month.
The industry body is adding 25 years of financial services experience to its leadership team with a new appointment.
