Global investment management firm PIMCO has hired Adrian Stewart as the CEO and executive vice president of PIMCO Australia.
Reporting to managing director and head of PIMCO Asia Pacific Eric Mogelof, Stewart's role includes looking after PIMCO's Australian wing, including looking after institutional and wealth management clients.
"Adrian is an important addition to the Asia-Pacific senior leadership team and his hiring further strengthens our leadership team and capabilities to serve our clients in Australia, which is a key market for PIMCO," Mogelof said.
Stewart has 22 years' experiences in the financial services industry, and has held management positions across investment management, platforms and financial planning organisations for the last 15 years.
He was previously head of wholesale distribution and market at Macquarie Group. Before that he was head of Macquarie Professional Series where he was responsible for product, investment, and distribution and marketing.
