TAL Life has finalised its acquisition of Asteron Life and Superannuation with the transfer of the assets and liabilities of Asteron Life’s life insurance business to TAL.

The transfer included all the life insurance policies issued by Asteron Life, and TAL was now the issuer of Asteron Life’s life insurance policies under Part 9 of the Life Insurance Act 1995.

TAL noted there were no changes to any policy terms and conditions and that the Asteron brand remained in the market.

The two firms first announced the acquisition in August 2018.
