Zurich has appointed former ANZ senior exec, Kieran Forde, as head of bancassurance and direct within its life and investments business following the acquisition of the One Path life insurance business.
Forde joined Zurich from ANZ in November, ahead of the full Zurich executive leadership restructure which would come into full effect in April 2019.
Forde would bring more than 30 years’ financial experience, including his most recent role as head of wealth solutions and partnerships at ANZ, where he was responsible for managing the partnerships with Zurich and IOOF.
Zurich Life and Investments chief executive, Tim Bailey, said Forde would bring strong leadership and relationship management skills, as well as deep financial services knowledge and expertise, and would be an important addition to the team as it looks to optimise its partnership with ANZ.
The fund’s inaugural chief retirement officer is looking to establish a new venture.
The financial services company has made two senior appointments to its super and investments leadership team.
The $89 billion fund has named co-chief investment officers following the resignation of Andrew Lill earlier this month.
The industry body is adding 25 years of financial services experience to its leadership team with a new appointment.
