David Busoli has launched a new business aimed at providing a strategic outsourced admin for self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) advisers, which he says will buck the modern trend of ‘industrialising’ SMSF admin.

Busoli said that he, along with Debbie Thomas and Emma Walker, will use the SMSF Alliance business to offer total and strategic admin services. He said that the business could help with melding SMSF strategies with their documentation, legal, technical, processing and reporting requirements.

The company would also offer investment admin, tax and accounting support for any entity.

“Strategic admin is far more extensive than just the processing of financials. It encompasses every aspect of the fund from set up to wind up. We understand the nuances and differences that small variations in documentation or approach can make,” Busoli said.

“All SMSFs are not the same and dumbing down the admin approach merely diminishes the potential benefits to your clients and your business.”

Busoli was at pains to emphasise that the business would not be seeking licences and thus would not be in competition with their adviser clients for services.
